Parent Volunteer Opportunities

There are many ways to engage as an SIS parent.

We rely on our parent volunteers to help run our successful events and activities.

Volunteer Opportunities:

Parent Association - General
Every parent at SIS is automatically enrolled in the PA and there are no dues. The PA holds open meetings throughout the year and also seeks volunteers to take a more active role in the planning of special PA events. In addition to the form below, we would love to know more about your general interests and talents. Please complete this form.

Monthly Birthday Celebrations
The PA purchases and serves treats to celebrate all of the students who have had a birthday that month.

Orientation Meet & Greet (September)
Orientation and school supply drop off happen the days before school starts. The PA enjoys the opportunity to meet parents and provide coffee and snacks.

Family Pic Nic (September)
An annual tradition, the Family Pic Nic happens on the first Friday of school on the soccer fields. PA members assist with serving desserts and supporting other activities.

Kite and Flight Festival (September)
Kite and Flight is a free, family event that is open to the greater community. Volunteers assist with various activities on the day of the event.

Book Fair (November & May)
Parents volunteer to operate the register during the two book fairs. Funds raised are shared with the PA as a fundraiser.

Big Night Out (May / June)
BNO is our annual fundraising event and gala celebration. Every year we form a BNO Committee with parent volunteers to assist in planning and fundraising.
