Having just joined the SIS community as Head of School, I'm eager to share what drew me to lead this exceptional community. First, there's the sense of belonging I felt the moment I stepped onto campus. Care for self, for one another, for the school, and for the broader community isn't just a motto here, it's a lived value, visible and felt around every corner.
Second, in visiting classrooms, I was struck by the confidence, curiosity, and agency our students bring to their learning, even in our youngest classrooms. The love of learning is palpable at SIS, and it's genuinely inspiring to witness.
Finally, there's the joy - impossible to miss anywhere on campus. This is a place where students are excited to come to school, encouraged to be their authentic selves, and challenged to reach their full academic potential.
