Welcome to Saratoga Independent School!

Welcome to Saratoga Independent School! As you navigate our website, you will discover what makes Saratoga Independent School a special place. Our outdoor education,  theme-based curriculum, and community service program make Saratoga Independent School a place for children, 3 years of age through 8th grade, to become curious and confident learners.

From our humble beginning over 30 years ago to our remarkable growth today, SIS is the premier Lower and Middle School option for Saratoga Springs and the surrounding areas. As proud as we are of our growth, we are even more excited for the future of SIS and our students. With a dynamic strategic plan in place, SIS is well-positioned to advance our programs and curriculum to an even higher level.

We are guided by our mission and philosophy. We believe children learn best through direct experiences. Our days are filled with opportunities for students to explore, create, question, and interact with the world around them. SIS offers a safe, diverse, and open community grounded in mutual respect. Our dedicated faculty provide individual attention and assessments to all students. Our Buddy Program and SIS CARES Service Program enrich peer-to-peer connections as well as enhancing the greater Saratoga Springs area.

Starting with our  Pre-Kindergarten program, our approach to education weaves the skills of independent thinking and self-reliant learning. We enrich our Lower School curriculum with dedicated specialists in Art, Spanish, Physical Education, and Music, as well as dedicated STEM labs and math-only instructors. As our students reach Middle School, they have the opportunity to take New York Regents level courses, a wide variety of electives, and public speaking all while being guided by a robust advisory program.

Please schedule a time to tour our beautiful campus. I look forward to meeting you and sharing how at Saratoga Independent School, we take care of ourselves, each other, our school, and our community.
