Scholarships - Saratoga Independent School

The Saratoga Independent School Middle School Scholarship recognizes students who demonstrate strong academic achievement, intellectual curiosity, character, and a genuine enthusiasm for learning. Scholarships are awarded based on academic performance and alignment with the mission and values of Saratoga Independent School.
Scholarships are awarded on a rolling basis. Apply early, as applications will close as soon as all funds are exhausted.
Applicants are evaluated holistically. While academic performance is important, we understand that grades do not always tell the whole story. Students are encouraged to share any circumstances that may have affected their academic record in the optional essay section below.

ELIGIBILITY:
Middle School (rising 6–8 grade) students applying for admission to Saratoga Independent School for the upcoming school year are eligible to apply.

AWARD:
Scholarship Awards are in the amount of 50% of current annual tuition.

REQUIREMENTS:

Please complete all required information in this scholarship application form, including student records, a student essay and parent statement.
An admissions application is required (link to application). You can complete this scholarship application before or after you complete the general admission application. NOTE: The fee is waived for scholarship applicants. Once you have completed the admission application, email Colleen with your name and student name. She will waive the application fee and submit your application. cfortune@siskids.org
Families are encouraged to sign up for a tour as part of the process. www.siskids.org/tour.

ESSAYS

STUDENT ESSAY: Choose one of the following essay topics that is of greatest interest to you. Your essay should be between 250-500 words.

Describe a family tradition and how participating in that family tradition affects you.
Write about a person you admire and why that person is important to you.
Write about a favorite object, how that object came to you, and a memory you associate with it.
