Valerie Overdorf
Valerie Overdorf joins the SIS teaching staff as our Social Studies Coordinator and Language Arts teacher. She formerly taught in the Rotterdam-Mohonasen school district, serving as a member of Project View, a federally funded program that grouped social studies and language arts teachers together to integrate the curriculum. She also helped to develop a new curriculum that complemented both the language arts and social studies curriculum at the Gardner Dickinson School in Wynanskill. At SIS, Valerie looks forward to recognizing and appreciating the uniqueness each student brings to the classroom.
