Welcome to Saratoga Independent School!

Hidden in a lovely 60 acre wooded landscape on Route 29, just minutes from downtown Saratoga Springs, Saratoga Independent School (SIS) is celebrating 25 years and the ideals of its founding families and faculty with unprecedented growth and optimism.   Optimism envelops SIS, where faith in the goodness, creativity, talents and abilities of children, supported by the power of strong community values, is the foundation of education.

SIS’s theme-based curriculum – this year’s theme is Relationships, Environment, Change – created collaboratively by faculty to make learning meaningful, fun and inspiring, capitalizes on the curiosity and energy of children who use their critical thinking and problem solving skills to make exciting connections among ideas and disciplines.  Multi-age classroom settings allow individual students to move quickly, or with greater deliberation, through content areas with the close guidance of their teachers.

From our mini-chess, archery and engineering programs, to Kite & Flight Festival in the spring, and the exhilaration of our sledding hill in the winter, something interesting is always happening at SIS!

Watch our website and Facebook page for special events and call us to arrange a visit any time.

We are pleased to be finishing two of the classrooms in our new 20,000 square foot wing, built for our growing student body, in preparation for the addition of Middle School, beginning with sixth grade in 2018, seventh grade in 2019 and eighth grade in 2020.

We encourage you to come and see us. Our school is beautiful year-round, and there is extra magic in the autumn with the promise of the new school year. We look forward to learning about your children and talking with you about Saratoga Independent School. Hope to see you soon!

Warm regards,

Lisa Brown
